Weapon Mastery allows DPS players to deal heavy damage by managing more than one weapon at the time. Weapon mastery allows players to flow through different weapons during the combos used in the game, boosting their weapon attacks and super-powers.

This feature use skill points for another purposes than just improving player stats. Unlocking Weapon Mastery of your main-weapon causes required attacks to hit for increased damage and it also increases critical strike damage and resistance to control effects while using that particular weapon.

Weapon Mastery Skill Points!

Each weapon tree has 4 weapon mastery combos and 4 weapon mastery statistics points (each one has 3 skills points). These skills points are at the bottom of the tree and will only be available when the required weapon combos are unlocked and players have spent 20 skill points in that weapon tree.

To use weapon mastery combos, players must unlock the cross-weapon mastery. For example, Bow has Martial Arts and Dual Pistols as cross-weapons, so to use access Smoke Bomb Mastery or Spinning Punch Mastery combos, Martial Arts mastery must be unlocked.

Each Weapon mastery statistic points has 3 skill points to unlock. Focusing in their role, Weapon mastery statistic points allow players to boost:

  • +75 Might and +75 Precision (DPS role)
  • +90 Restoration (Healer role)
  • +150 Health and +21 Dominance (Tank role)
  • +75 Power and +24 Vitalization (Controller role)

Weapon Mastery Combos Bonus!

Using a super power at the moment Weapon Mastery Combo impacts or completes will increase the super power’s chance to crit by 360% and its critical damage significantly. When you are in Controller / Healer / Tank role will also decrease the super power’s Power cost.

When you see a red/white circle like in the image above, it means you activate that super-power with the Weapon mastery bonus. However, it will required a lot of practice to master the timing of your combo.

To continue, the weapon mastery 360% critical bonus doesn’t mean you will get a critical everytime you use it, not if you have low critical attack chance unlocked. Some Power trees ,such as Bow, Hand Blasters, Rifle, Staff, and Two handed, have skill points that boost Critical Attack Chance by +1% per point. Modding DPS items (Legs and Shoulders) will also grant you Critical Ability Attack chance. So this critical attack chance is the one benefited from with 360% weapon mastery critical bonus.

For example, if you unlock 6% Critical Attack Chance with your skill points and you MOD your Legs and Shoulder equipment will grant you 11% Critical Ability Attack Chance, this 11% boosted with Weapon Mastery Bonus will transform it into 39.6% to get a critical hit with your super-power.

Weapon Mastery DPS Rotation

Weapon mastery has revolutionized the DPS rotation for each Power in-game making it more active and powerful than ever. To ilustrate the new DPS mechanics we have divided the rotation in 3 phases explained in the image above.

Weapon mastery was created to bring balance between the Powers. So every Power can apply this DPS rotation with their own super-powers.

Phase 1: Super-Powers Opener

This phase is conformed by 2 or 3 super-powers depending on the Power. Players should use a DOT super-power (damage over time) clipped with a Damage amplifier boost. For example, Fire players uses Inferno (DOT) clipped with Fiery Weapon (DAB) or Quantum players uses Gravity Well (DOT) clipped with Warped Reality (DAB).

This Phase uses a third super-power only when the Damage amplifier boost Increases all damage by 35% or when the Damage over time super-power interaction needs the target to be affected by an effect to deal additional damage. Most of these powers has cooldown and the DOT and DAB cooldown share the timing to be active again.

Phase 2: Weapon Mastery Combos

This phase is just about dealing damage with your Weapon mastery combos boosted with a super-power damage interaction. After the Phase 1 is over, you will have your damage increased by 35%, 40%, 45%, 50%, or 60% depending on the last super-power activated.

Try to finish the Phase 1 with the highest increasement possible to deal heavy damage with your Weapon Mastery Combos in the Phase 2. Try to pick Weapons with faster weapon mastery combos such as

Phase 3: Super-power Burst

In this phase, you must use the best super-powers boosted with 360% Weapon Mastery Critical Bonus. By saying the best super-powers, it means the 45% / 50% damage increasement and the ones which get benefited for the previous power interactions applied.

Once you activate the super-power burst, you must go back to Weapon Mastery Attacks (Phase 2) unless your Super-power openers (Phase 1) are active again.
