Fire calls forth fires from within yourself to affect the world around you. This power is available for all players for FREE during Character Creation.

Fire DPS guide is updated to GU73. You can check videos from DCUO Youtubers below to learn more about other loadouts and rotations.

STAT POINTS PRIORITY

This Loadout is focused on Superpowered Playstyle allowing your character to deal heavy damage with Superpowers only. Players must unlock these stat points after unlocking required Weapon Combos (8 Skill Points) and Movement Innates (7 Skill Points)

  • Focus: Superpowered – Use 1 Skill Point
    • Unlock Main Weapon Mastery and Movement Abilities before unlocking this Stat
  • Critical Attack Chance – Use 20 Skill Points
    • Required: 10 Skill Points – Suggested: 15 Skill Points – Recommended: 20 Skill Points
  • Critical Attack Damage – Use 40 Skill Points
    • Required: 10 Skill Points – Suggested: 30 Skill Points – Recommended: 40 Skill Points
  • Might and Power – Use 175 Skill Points
    • Low Skill Points (less than 60): Spend Required skill points in Criticals before unlocking these Stats
    • Mid Skill Points (between 75 and 90): Spend Suggested Skill Points in Criticals before unlocking these Stats
    • Proper Skill Points (more than 100): Spend Recommended Skill Points in Criticals before unlocking these Stats
  • Health – Improve your survival once all Might and Power is unlocked

  • Volcanic Calamity [6A] is the strongest Supercharge power recommended for heavily damage Bosses and Sub-Bosses
  • Fireball Barrage [6B] is recommended to inflict heavy damage to Multiple Enemies . Due to its supercharge cost, players are able to use it more often than Volcanic Calamity [6A]

Rotation Tips

  • Solo Rotation allows player to deal heavy burst damage on your enemies but it required a lot of power.
    • It is recommended to wait for power to be restored before engaging another battle
    • For Bosses, weapon attacks must be used instead of  Flame Cascade [1] to avoid being outpower
  • Alerts and Raids Rotation has high-power consumption making it only viable when a controller is in the group.
  • These Rotations focus on dealing heavy damage with Burn effects. It is vital to have your enemies Burned all the time (Inferno [5], Meteor Strike [4A] ) in order to deal great damage with Mass Detonation [4B]Spontaneous Combustion [3], Fireburst [2], and Flame Cascade [1]
  • Be careful with Mass Detonation [4B]Fireburst [2], and Flame Cascade [1] (they are Vulnerable to Interrupt).
  • Keep Meteor Strike [4A] effect active all the time to restore Supercharge faster

Tactical MODS

  • WEAPON
    • Blast Adapter: Weapons attacks blast your target and five other nearby enemies for additional damage
    • Absorption Adapter: Weapon attacks have a chance to activate a shield, reducing damage by 75% until damage equal to 30% of your Health is prevented
  • NECK
    • Escalating Might: Increases your Might by 2% for 8 seconds when you hit an enemy with a harmful super power. Does not work with Supercharge powers
  • BACK
    • Breakout Regeneration: Gain Health regeneration for 4 seconds after using the Breakout ability
    • Berserker: Your damage output increases by an additional 10% when you Health drops below 35%
  • FEET
    • Deadly Block: Your Block Counter causes additional damage equal to 5% of your Precision
    • Explosive Block: Your Block Counter knocks enemies much further away and increases their helpless duration by up to 1 second
  • CHEST
    • Core Strength: Gain an additional 2% damage
  • HANDS
    • Max Damage: Using super powers increases damage by 2% for a short time (recommended)
    • Empowered Channeling: Channeled super powers are no longer Vulnerable to Interrupt, prevent standard control effects and increase Defense and Toughness by 5% while active.
      • This mod affects: Mass Detonation [4B]Fireburst [2], and Flame Cascade [1]

    I have a question about spending skill points in Dual Wield and Acrobatics: what would you suggest that I unlock there?

      Hi Cristianna, thanks for your commente. Here is my recomendation to your skill points distribution:
      1- Unlock your main weapon combos you want to use. For dual Wield i recommend you to unlock: Whirlwind Overstrike, Stunning Swipe, and Dual Flurry
      2- Unlock needed Acrobatic points. It is important to unlock the skills that help you be faster and recover power when you are controlled. In the Acrobatic Tree unlock: Rocket-assisted Glide, Knockback Resistant, Knockback Recovery, Stun Resistant, Stun Recovery, Breakout Mastery.
      3- Unlock weapon trees that helps you getting your required Role Stats. As Fire DPS, your damage is based on might and you must focus on the following stats: Might, Precision, Critical Weapon Attack Chance, Critical Weapon Attack Damage, Critical Ability Attack Chance, Critical Ability Attack Damage.

  2. What would be the best weapon for a fire DPS. I’m currently using duel weilds

      Fire DPS base their damage with might. But if you want some nice weapons, we recommend One Handed, Dual Wield, or Rifle for PVE, and one handed, brawling, or martial arts for PVP

    Got tons of questions,

    1) what to do with the other skill points (for brawling/flight)?
    2) is there a guide what to do when i hit 30?
    3) what alerts are easiest to learn tanking?

    these are the questions that pop up now, but later when i am almost asleep others will rise…

      Hi Corporal, We are glad to help you.

      Skill points must be use to enhance your role stats. For Fire DPS, you will need Might, Precision, Critical Weapon Attack Chance, Critical Weapon Attack Damage, Critical Ability Attack Chance, Critical Ability Attack Damage. For Fire Tank, you will need Defense, Toughness, Health, Dominance.

      For Brawling, we recommend to unlock Double Fist, Hammer Fist, Launching Uppercut and Haymaker.

      In Flight skills, you should unlock Supersonic, Dive Bomb, Stun Resistant, Stun Recovery, Restraint Resistant, Restraint Recovery and Breakout Mastery.

      We will soon post guides about Reaching Level 30. However, you should focus on doing Feats to unlock more skill points. A player must have at least 90 skill points for their characters role to work to its full potential.

      About tanking, Alert 51 is the easiest alert on DCUO. As a tank, your main task is keeping enemies hitting you and block their attacks.

    Total noob here,

    Started to play a week ago, i now have a lvl 26 fire dps (yay me!). I have 2 questions;

    1) what is “clip inferno and fiery weapon”?
    2) what is the rotation you use for max dps? Just hit 1 to 6?

      Hello Corporal, thanks for your comment.

      Clipping means you can hit Inferno and Fiery weapon together in that order. When you use Inferno, your character makes an animation, but if you hit Fiery Weapon right away, Fiery Weapon will activate and cut Inferno‘s Animation.

      MAX DPS ROTATION: Inferno->Fiery Weapon->Spontaneous Combustion->Fireburst->Fireburst (Power Over Time Required)

      Fire DPS has long cooldown powers so use your weapon attacks while you wait the cooldown to finish.

  5. how do you clip with fire? ive been wanting to know how to clip in the game to get better damage

      Remembering that weapon attacks can be clipped by any power and any attack power can be clipped by any support power. In this loadout, Fire DPS only have Fiery Weapon as a support power and that is why we recommended to use with Inferno which is one of the most important power on Fire Build because it inflicts burning and bestows immolation on your enemies.

      You will ensure high DPS if you use keep activate Inferno and Fiery Weapon and then use your Snuff Out and Fireburst
