Rotation Tips

  • Normal Form and Gorilla Form Rotations allows player to deal heavy burst damage on your enemies but it required a lot of power.
    • It is recommended to wait for power to be restored before engaging another battle
  • These Rotations focus on releasing Poison as many times as possible for impacting heavy damage with Roar [5]

I just started running a nature DPS for one of my backups, I PvP fairly often, is primal wolf form any good for PvP? I tend to do a number on Nature characters in PvP if they are transformed, as one handed weapon seems to create an advantage. If it isn’t very good as I surmise, would I be better off taking iconic passives or some primarily healer abilities?

Hello Eobard, thanks for your comment. At PVP, your combat skills with your character will determine the victory. Nature is a great choice for PVP because of its Damage over time powers but blocking, interrupting, and normal attacks will increase your change of winning the match.

Prima Wolf Form is great for PVP but as i said you need to improve your combat skills in order to win PVP Matches 🙂

Hey, I’m an Xbox player and I recently got a nature character to lvl 30 and tried healing for a short while (I even bought two tier 1 healer armor pieces) in 2 man groups but could never keep my power so now I’m gonna try out your loadout. But what weapon type should I use? I defaulted with hand blasters but I’m told that’s no good for dps. And is it a good idea to only play in wolf form or should I alternate from normal to wolf?

    • DCUO Bloguide Post author

Hello TheDiceman, thanks for your question. It is hard to heal a group when you dont have a controller by your side. The best way to regenerate power naturally is by increasing the hit counter fast which is increased with consecutive weapon attacks. Hand Blasters: Pulse Beam combo is great for increasing Hit count but this is only helpful for healing.

In DCUO, there is no way to be great at dps and healing with your character. You need to focus on your role because mixing loadouts wont do any good to the instance

Nature healing has an advanced mechanic. Use insectoid form and use hive mind you’ll notice you barely use power while it’s active. Insectoid Form load out: Hive mind,Swarm Shield, Metabolism, Cross Pollination, Harvest, and Regeneration.

      Thanks for sharing ScytheMisterNate

Once i complete the roation in primal wolf form, if i continue to use swarm every time it is available to use, will the DOT’s continue to be active? or do i have to return to normal form and restack them every time?

    • DCUO Bloguide Post author

Hello Eamonn thanks for your question. Swarm only applies its DOT so the only way to refresh poison spores in Wolf form is by using Harvest. You must calculate the time you need to wait in order to use Harvest for refresing poison spores or you can simply use Harvest everytime you end the rotation in wolf form.

    • Eamonn Matthews

OK thank you very much. That was extremely helpful. I have one more question though. Will harvest in wolf form refresh the DOT’s from my normal form as well, or only the DOT’s applied by swarm?

    • DCUO Bloguide Post author

Harvest only refresh Poison Spore effects on the target and spread to other nearby enemies which means only DOTS from normal form

    • Eamonn Matthews

thank you, sorry for the annoying questions

    • DCUO Bloguide Post author

No problem Eamonn thanks for your question 🙂

  4. BodyBagga

Hey just to let y’all know that if u have max damage on and switch to wolf form the 40% over rides the 60% modifier they do not stack just keep that in mind…

    • DCUO Bloguide Post author

Thanks for the clarification BodyBagga, switching to wolf form is great only for nature rotation because as you said Wolf DPS buff is override with MAX Damage Tactical MOD

  5. hey man, i recently returned to DCUO, i have an ice char, but im looking into something else than ice and fire, i did research on which power is good in pvp and pve and i hear a lot of nature and sorcery (free powers) what do you think can nature outdamage ice in pvp and/or pve?

    • DCUO Bloguide Post author

Hello Cj, thanks for your question. Nature is great for Damage over time while Ice deals channeled damage. I cant tell you it outdamage ice but Nature definitely is a cool damage and healer power.
