Sorcery players master universal metaphysical laws to bring enemies to their end or see allies to victory. This power is available for all players for FREE during Character Creation.

Sorcery DPS guide is updated to GU73. You can check videos from DCUO Youtubers below to learn more about other loadouts and rotations.

This Loadout is focused on Superpowered Playstyle allowing your character to deal heavy damage with Superpowers only. Players must unlock these stat points after unlocking required Weapon Combos (8 Skill Points) and Movement Innates (7 Skill Points)

  • Focus: Superpowered – Use 1 Skill Point
    • Unlock Main Weapon Mastery and Movement Abilities before unlocking this Stat
  • Critical Attack Chance – Use 20 Skill Points
    • Required: 10 Skill Points – Suggested: 15 Skill Points – Recommended: 20 Skill Points
  • Critical Attack Damage – Use 40 Skill Points
    • Required: 10 Skill Points – Suggested: 30 Skill Points – Recommended: 40 Skill Points
  • Might and Power – Use 175 Skill Points
    • Low Skill Points (less than 60): Spend Required skill points in Criticals before unlocking these Stats
    • Mid Skill Points (between 75 and 90): Spend Suggested Skill Points in Criticals before unlocking these Stats
    • Proper Skill Points (more than 100): Spend Recommended Skill Points in Criticals before unlocking these Stats

Main Sorcery Loadout

  • Solo Rotation
    • Karmic Suspension [4] (needs reload) > Soul Barrage [2] > Soul Bolt [1] or Weapon Attacks (while Soul Barrage [2] is on cooldown)
  • Alerts and Raids Rotation
    • Circle of Destruction [5] (needs reload) > Karmic Suspension [4] (needs reload) > Shard of Life [3] (needs reload) > Soul Barrage [2] > Soul Bolt [1] (while Soul Barrage [2] is on cooldown)

  • Arbiter of Destiny [6A] is recommended for Solo Rotation. This supercharge power will be recharged fast if Karmic Suspension [4] is always casted.
    • Transforming into Arbiter of Destiny [6A] will grant you unlimited power and reduce your cooldowns, allowing you to use Arbiter of Destiny Rotation without worrying about being low powered
  • Baleful Transmogrification [6B] is recommended for Alerts and Raids Rotation where a controller allows you to use all your superpowers without worrying about being low powered
Arbiter of Destiny Loadout

  • Arbiter of Destiny Rotation
    • Soul Well [1] (needs reload) > Circle of Destruction [5] (needs reload) > Karmic Suspension [4] > Shard of Life [3] > Soul Barrage [2]
  • Each Soul Well [1] damages nearby enemies. Due to reduced cooldown, you will be able to cast multiple Soul Wells [2] having multiple Damagers over time.
  • Due to reduced cooldowns,  Karmic Suspension [4], Shard of Life [3], and Soul Barrage [2] will be able to be used in sequence, but it is imperative to reload Soul Well [1] and Circle of Destruction [5] DOTs

Rotation Tips

  • Main Sorcery Loadout requires a lot of power to use their rotation which is why players should use their superpowers wisely to avoid being outpowered. This can be done by mixing weapon attacks for solos situations
  • Solo Rotation allows player to spend low power in battle by using only necessary superpowers making it viable for solo situations (Challenges, Duos, Missions)
  • Alerts and Raids Rotation has high-power consumption making it only viable when a controller is in the group.
  • These Rotations focus on dealing heavy damage with Bad Karma effects. It is vital to have your enemies inflicted with Bad Karma all the time (Circle of Destruction [5], Karmic Suspension [4] ) in order to deal great damage with Soul Barrage [2] and Soul Bolt [1]
  • Keep Karmic Suspension [4] effect active all the time to restore Supercharge faster and to access Arbiter of Destiny Rotation

Tactical MODS

    • Blast Adapter: Weapons attacks blast your target and five other nearby enemies for additional damage
    • Absorption Adapter: Weapon attacks have a chance to activate a shield, reducing damage by 75% until damage equal to 30% of your Health is prevented
  • NECK
    • Escalating Might: Increases your Might by 2% for 8 seconds when you hit an enemy with a harmful super power. Does not work with Supercharge powers
  • BACK
    • Breakout Regeneration: Gain Health regeneration for 4 seconds after using the Breakout ability
    • Berserker: Your damage output increases by an additional 10% when you Health drops below 35%
  • FEET
    • Deadly Block: Your Block Counter causes additional damage equal to 5% of your Precision
    • Explosive Block: Your Block Counter knocks enemies much further away and increases their helpless duration by up to 1 second
    • Core Strength: Gain an additional 2% damage
    • Max Damage: Using super powers increases damage by 2% for a short time

Equipmend MODS

    • Might
    • Might & Power
    • Might & Health (improve survival)

  1. Hey

Im realy new in this game and love sorcery dps 🙂

My problem is atm that i have low SP, s and dont know in what i should spend it.
Might? Krit change / dmg ?

Ps: yea i work on my SP, s :p

  2. Should i start still filling percision first or might after critical attack chance

    • DCUO Bloguide Post author

Hello Daniel, you should focus on sorcery because Weapon of Destiny will make your weapon attacks to inflict additional might damage plus Circle of Destruction and Transmutation also get benefit from Might stats

  3. Is final ruin terrible? Why isn’t it on this load out for best dps output?

    • DCUO Bloguide Post author

Hello Virgil, thanks for your question. Being DPS is all about following Advanced Mechanics. Final Ruin doesn’t benefit from Sorcery Advanced Mechanics which is why it isn’t recommended for DPS build

Do you have a loadout that can switch from healing to dps? I kinda wanna be able to switch back and forth.

    • DCUO Bloguide Post author

Hello SouthernCharm, sorcery builds for healing and dps are completely different because of their mechanics. If you want to be able to play DPS and Healing role with your character, you should get an additional armory 🙂

Great guide! Should I use my Weapon mastery just on Transmutation or can I use it on Circle too? does it make a big deal? Also to make sure…Weapon mastery crit makes a sound after your weapon combo if you combo it right with a power correct?

    • DCUO Bloguide Post author

Hello Pipp thanks for your question. When your pet is active you wont be benefited from Weapon Mastery Crit bonus so it doesnt matter if you use it after transmutation or circle of destiny. You just need to check Weapon of Destiny is active to inflict additional damage everytime you hit with Weapon attacks
